Text Box: Horse Specialty Club Show Series (HSC) is run by the members of the 4-H Horse Specialty Club and offers a show bill designed to encourage youth to set goals and challenge  themselves to improve.   Shows are held at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion and will be held in all weather.   All youth 8-18 (still in school) are welcome to compete in our show series of five shows, with classes in Dressage, Hunters, Speed, and Western, and those who join the series will be eligible for HSC high point awards.  There will be Senior and Junior Champion and Reserve Champion awards.    Requirements: · The HSC requires helmets be worn by all riders. · A current Coggins test (within 12 months) is required. The name on the Coggins must match the name the horse is showing under.  - NO COGGINS NO RIDE!!! · Riders must be 18 or under and still in school, the must observe the show rules and have a good time. · Adults are not allowed to ride or school the youths’ horses. · You are not required to join 4-H to ride in the series.  Riders must observe the rules and have a good time. · Members in good standing of the 4-H Horse Specialty Club are part of the series.   Awards: Year end awards will be given in divisions that filled for three out of the five shows.  Senior Saddle Series Year end High point award in English - Western - Speed     Reserve High Point - Halter Junior Bridle Series Year end High point award in English - Western - Speed     Reserve High Point - Halter Novice Rider Walk/Trot  - Halter     Judges:  HSC uses a pool of judges and tries not to use the same judge two years in a row.  This is to insure fairness in competition.  Every attempt is made to find judges currently judging in their respected discipline.  The judges decision is final.  We have dedicated judges for each discipline.     The HSC show series is a competition and we encourage all youth to come and hope the goal is to not only win but do their best and learn good sportsmanship in the spirit of competition.   Pre-entries are requested but not required.  Please complete show bill and authorization form.  They should be in or received by the Wednesday before the show.   Fax 352-35I-964I or mail to:  4H c/o CVO, 1706 N Magnolia #304, Ocala, FL 34475
